About
We are Stanthorpe's original cheese factory. We make cheese from our herd of Jersey cows and sell it in the on-farm shop, open every day (except Christmas, Boxing, Good Friday and local show holiday in January). We also stock a huge range of local products for the perfect picnic or accompaniment for your cheese platter. Our licensed cafe which serves produce from our farm is open 7 days for lunch.

You can tell that this place has new owners...very different to the last time we visited almost 5 years ago. Heaps more outdoor seating, much better table service and much more to choose from inside. The cheese tasting was exactly what we expected it to be - small tastes of different varieties but big enough to choose which ones you like best should you want to take some home with you. We arrived right on lunchtime and the place was absolutely pumping! Coffee was terrific, food was delicious and atmosphere sitting outside was lovely.

Five of us called & decided to have a cheese tasting. Cost was $3pp which we did not mind. However, we were served 11 types of cheese & each piece was about 1/2cm square. There was not enough cheese to get a taste so we did not buy

We did the cheese tasting to determine our two favourites to have on their famous ploughman’s lunch which we had with a nice glass of red wine!! The meat we chose was shaved silverside with their Rex cheese and their Brass Monkey Blue cheese!! The board came with fresh warm crusty bread and amazing locally made condiments!! Definitely worth the $40, it satisfied two!! We bought cheeses and some locally made trinkets to take home!! We enjoyed hearing about all the cheese they produce!! This establishment is very accessible and the staff welcoming and knowledgeable!!

Really great experience. Loved the cheese tasting plate and the Ploughmans lunch was to die for. It's almost worth doing the drive from Brisbane to Stanthorpe just to have another of the delicious Ploughmans lunch. From the cheese tasting you pick the cheeses you'd like with your Ploughmans. Every thing included with the lunch was so delicious, even the bread rolls that came with it.

We were planning to buy some cheeses for dinner platters while we were in Stanthorpe and so glad we paid a visit. Bonus cheese tasting meant we could hone in on some delicious cheese and the video meant we learned something too! Definitely check out the Jersey Girls Cafe and Stanthorpe Cheese!

Cheese tasting was very well done with a video explaining the different cheeses and recommending various chutneys & pickles as accompaniments. Plenty to purchase to take away with you. Although we didn’t stay for morning tea the scones with sour cherry jams looks mouth-watering.

We did their cheese tasting experience and it was amazing! Friendly and knowledgeable host, AMAZING cheese. We wanted to purchase quite a few styles but unfortunately didn't have any way to keep them cold on the drive home.

A wonderful array of cheeses all made on the premises from Jersey cow's milk. Free cheese-tasting was on offer (although there was a notice advising there will be a charge of $3pp from 1st August). Plenty of products to choose from and a nice café to follow-up with lunch. Very tasty indeed!

This is a must place for cheese lovers as the cheese here is just delicious and they are served with other condiments in the free tasting session. The only down side is that the cheese amounts you could buy were smaller than usually offered. They could have been a bit larger even if it was more expensive

Hi guys, we were in there today and bought a bottle of the Inferno hot sauce. We have just opened the bottle and the lid literally blew off the bottle. A quarter of the hot sauce is now on our kitchen ceiling. The bottle was bubbling and then exploded. This was was disappointing as now we think if it was bubbling like that it may be off?

Hi, That is very distressing. We sell their product in good faith and I will pass your complaint onto them. Can you contact the shop 0746852277 about a refund in a few days after I have spoken to them
Regards
Karen
