An ideal location for relaxing brunch and then a walk in the gardens. The restaurant is set above the garden with a very scenic and picturesque view.

The garden is a must see and we are planning to purchase a membership to take advantage of the discount for the Tuesday Night music concerts. We went six times last summer and enjoyed all of them.

Beautiful bridges, ponds, gardens, etc. Only advice would be better markings on walking paths on which routes to take.

Been a while since we went, but it was gorgeous there and very peaceful. If you are coming to Rockford, you have to check out the Gardens.

A truly first rate garden. Lots of flowers dish and trees all with accurate descriptions and nice examples of Japanese architecture.

As a gift for Christmas, my wife and I have enjoved this very lovely garden on several occasions. For a Sunday Brunch it is a delightful experience, no matter what the weather is....the food , sadly, is beside the point

If walking through wooded areas, fresh air and being one with nature is your thing then visit here! Absolutely gorgeous grounds that are very well kept! The Koi Pond was neat, to see all the different sized fish and how aggressive they are for food!...More

Worth the 2h 30 min drive from Chicago? Absolutely The grounds are manicured and maintained beautifully. With that being said, they have rules and are strictly enforced (in a nice way). Photos are welcomed and encouraged. They have a restaurant on site and free parking....More

We visited here while visiting Rockford for a wedding. It was like stepping into another town. The serenity and peace of the Gardens were amazing. We also fed the KOI fish. I definitely recommend this as a MUST when visiting Rockford.

This place is extremely clean and serene for a reason. No outside food or drink is allowed per their website. Also no smoking or pets, outside of service dogs. There is a very nice restaurant with a patio that overlooks... More

I don't know and as the other individual advised, call them. Personally I believe because it is a Japanese Garden which is supposed to inspire tranquility and peace a drone would not be welcome during regular visitor hours.
