Interesting, but a quick once over is all you need to see this. I was disappointed that the builder chose this beautiful spot overlooking the river, and there was no place to enjoy it inside the house. Windows on that side were small and high.

Beautiful place with a very interesting history. Not too pricey for admission. There is also a Quincy visitor center there, so a great place to start your trip. The story behind this mansion is very intriguing. My history buff teenager and I really enjoyed the...More

While some may feel there isn't much too this villa, my daughter and I found it interesting to take the self guided tour. The men in the family opted out. It all depends on your interests and expectations. For only $3 we enjoyed seeing the...More

Interesting design. The villa is the tourist information location. Great views on the bluff to see the Mississippi.

After taking in the fabulous exotic architecture (reminiscent of the Alhambra Palace in Granada, Spain), the strongest impression of the museum is its relative lack of authentic Middle Eastern furnishings. We loved going in Villa Kathrine, the courtyard with the pool was our favorite room. So glad it was restored.

For those into local history and architecture, this is worth a short visit. It was built to replicate houses in the Middle East. Enjoyed our time there.

The lady at the desk was full of great information on the Villa and the town. Nice view of the river.

An unusual structure for the city of Quincy. No elevator to second level, so its not totally accessible. Would be nicer if there was access to the roof so that we might enjoy the view of the Mississippi River.
