Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Not far away from Kranjska gora lies famous ski jumping center with giant ski jump jumper 250 m. Here have World cup FIS competition. they have big parking place and more ski jumpers from hill. Valley offers spectaculat view on surrounding mountains. Its easily accesible with car or public transport.

We spent nearly a day here - caught the local bus from Kranjska Gora. Good coffee served in the cafe. The best bit was the ride up to the top of the highest jump - you need a head for heights as you look down the slope! We also spent an hour watching the fearless youngsters training on the lower slopes. Then we followed a walk up to the end of the valley and back.

Go there! It's a beautiful valley. Ok maybe, I'm a bit biased, as I've been there during the world flying championship % the experience was amazing. Still aside for that, it's a beautiful area definitely worth visiting.

A nice afternoon walk, approx 1 hour in one direction. Good for famillies with dogs. The cottage at the end is not dog friendly but has nice food.

The great ski jumps of planica are empty during summer which makes it perfect to walk up there to the top and check out the views for yourself. See what the athletes see. There is really cool zipline now there. And the activity centre is really nice with a lot of things to do.

The ski jumps at the start of the valley are impressive and it was enjoyable to watch the ski jumpers practising as we walked past. Then the peace and quiet as you follow the forest trail to the hut, surrounding mountains and waterfall at the head of the valley is a great contrast.

Even if you are not into ski jumps, seeing the size of this place and imagining people flying over 700ft is amazing. The zipline is awesome, sights spectacular, just a lot of fun.

Lots of things to see and do here in winter or summer months. Completely renovated center for ski jumping and cross country skiing a few years back. They even have a big underground training area with snow in summer months (for cross country skiing). I would recommend the hike on top of the biggest ski jump, also zip line from there. You even have a wind tunnel for sky diving training in the main building with the museum. Planica is also a good starting point for one hour hike to Tamar. All in all if visiting Slovenia a must see.

Planica is the best place in the winter for winter walks, mountain hiking and even climbing. Best place for ski jumpers and crosscountry skiers. In the summer first place to choose to cool down when the temperatures are high.
