Mandala Gardens is a seven-acre holistic sanctuary built one day at a time by owners Diana and Greg, who have shared a decades-long vision of creating healing and beauty with stones and soil. Always an artistic work in progress, Mandala Gardens...more
The family has worked hard to turn this into a contemplative and beautiful space. Unfortunately we were not very savvy to Illinois weather and when we visited in early April, very little was blooming, and it was really cold. The paths and the labyrinth were...More

Mandala Gardens is a very special place that I experience as a gift from Diana and Greg, the dedicated stewards of this oasis each time I visit. The sacredness that I experience when I am walking the labyrinth, sitting on the moongate's circle overlooking the...More

I would never expect to find such a beautiful and well kept space in the middle of Marion, Illinois. The beautiful stone work of the gates caught my attention, and as soon as I stepped inside, I could feel all the love and hard work...More
Visited early April and not much growing. Lots of mud and branches lying around. Could possibly be nicer in early to mid summer but was basically a waste of time. Potential is there and will have to visit later in the year to see if...More

Hello, Thank you for your question. Yes, our gardens are more developed than from when the 2014 review was first posted. We have added additional sculptures and gardens, including a large stone labyrinth. We are still very much a work in progress, so you will find a mix of beauty and ongoing projects. We have gardens to walk through, quiet picnic spots, and multiple stone sculptures. We ask for a $2 donation per person or $5 per family. We are open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9am to 5pm. For more photos and information, please check our facebook page and website, both named Mandala Gardens (in Marion, IL)
