We stayed in the prairie cabins which gave us plenty of room. There was a separate bedroom w/bathroom and living room area with the Murphy bed. We were a short walk to the lodge. We got the opportunity to see the other cabins which were also nice accommodations. It was a rainy weekend but didn't mind relaxing. The lodge has... More

A group of us had the family style fried chicken dinner. Because we were a large group, you cannot order from the menu. The chicken was a little salty and all the food was delivered to the table lukewarm. We were seated in the back of the main dining room and it was extremely hot with little air circulation. The... We visited this state park after a heavy rainfall. We were still able to hike some of the trails and in particular the Giant City Nature Trail. Glad we hike in this park. Staff at the visitor center was very helpful. The park has a lodge and several cabins which looked real nice but which we didn't visit. Would consider... More

Great visit! We camped while the in-laws were in the cabins. Great facilities. Adorable lodge. Do not miss the fried chicken! Seriously. Don't.

We were able to book a private room for this party. They had it set up and available early that morning. I was able to bring flowers and candles in to decorate. They set up the cake table and had it already decorated with a white skirt. Water and tea were available as guests arrived. When it came time for... More

The lodge and the park are absolutely gorgeous. I have been coming all my life to this special place. I got married right outside the lodge in 2014 because of the wonderful memories I have here. A must visit!

Stayed at Giant City this past weekend and explored the trails and stayed in a cabin. We loved the cabin. It had everything one would need (if not needing a kitchen). The cabin is clean and spacious. It is not modern, but it is clean, comfortable and quaint. They brought us a roll away, a tv (though we never could... More

We unfortunately only had an afternoon to spend here but were able to squeeze in a couple hikes. We did the Nature Trail and the Trillium Trail. The Nature Trail is about a mile long and takes you through the halls of "giants." I would definitely recommend this one if you have never been there before--all the pics you see... More

We stayed at the campground on a Monday night in April, so had our pick of sites. There are 85 with electric, water is available throughout the camp area. We used the showers, which are well arranged with a private dressing area, plenty of hooks and hot water. There's also a dump. There's a wide variety of site lengths, some... More

We hiked in Giant City State Park and found it to be a lot of fun. Lots to climb and explore but for those of us a bit less adventurous, we were able to stay on the path and still enjoy ourselves immensely.
