bird watcher heaven

best enjoyed when there has been rain. but also a place that can be unaccessible in wrong car on sandy tracks. if you have chance to visit you'll enjoy seeing varied flora and fauna. the park is mostly buloke woodland but also features stringybarks, river red gums, yellow gums and various banksia species. it features great wildflowers like Golden Everlastings,Woolly New Holland daisies, leopard orchids etc. the birdlife is varied and abundant. I spotted numerous honeyeater species, galahs, lorikeets, rosellas, shelducks, kookaburras etc. well worth a look if you love birdwatching or even spotting dragonflies. nearby are numerous RAMSAR salt lakes that are worth checking as they are important for threatened bird life.
