My boys and I purchased a lap package for their mom as a 2018 Christmas gift...GREATEST GIFT EVER...!!! First, I would like to say that everyone at the track, from the personnel at the registration desk to the pit crew, was very friendly AND patient. As my wife was blindfolded until we were literally at the registration desk, and had no idea what she was about to do, she was absolutely floored when we revealed the present. If your wife/gf has any interest in racing or cars, I would highly, HIGHLY, recommend this as a gift. My wife would kill me if I gave away her age, but, she is older than me and I am (50). And, she can not drive stick. So, age and manual transmissions are not an excuse. They were very patient and worked with her, not only getting her on to the track, but, off safely. If you were to do this, I would definitely recommend the ride-along. That way you have a feel for the track prior to going out there by yourself. HUGE bonus and well worth the money. My wife was one of the first drivers out on Saturday (0800) and she was still talking about it last night (Sunday). I think she is going to be talking about for quite some time. Thanks to everyone at Rusty Wallace Racing for giving my wife one of the most memorable experiences of her life. Side note, even though their mom was racing, they also had the some exotics there for an auto-cross and my boys could NOT take enough pictures. It was a great day all around.

I bought this as a birthday gift for my husband, who is a fan of all cars and of fast driving, but not a big Nascar fan. He loved the ride along, which he said really got his heart pumping because the car never stopped drifting.
When he drove himself, he said it was a little annoying with the instructor in his ear telling him to slow down one second and close the gap the next. When he was finally able to pass the slower car in front of him, he really enjoyed himself, but by then, he only had a little more than one lap left.
All in all, he understood why the constraints, but it wasn't all it could have been for the price.

This was awesome! My first ever driving experience in a real Nascar. The entire staff is very professional and courteous. I did a ride along with a pro driver and then a 10 lap drive by myself in a COT car. The Pro driver was great and going that fast around a track is something that words cant describe. You have to experience it! Being a rookie I was amazed at the amount of freedom you get behind the wheel. They strap you in with all the safety gear and let you get out on the track with a spotter helping you can hear through your helmet speakers. And its just you and your car! Also my wife and kids were allowed track side to watch the whole event and they said it was like they were part of the pit crew. So fun and so cool!! This was a great day with a great staff and something I'll never forget!

I have to say that Rusty Wallace Racing Experience is amazing! I did a shootout race at Milwaukee Mile in the fall and recommended to everyone they needed to try this! This past weekend I went to Chicagoland speedway and the track was amazing! I will share my GoPro video with all of my friends so they can see how amazing this is! This is a must-do adventure!

We had a few people with us do the ride along and they loved it! I did a ride along and 20 laps and have to say this track was amazing! We arrived early and they were able to get us in early which was great. The entire RWRE team was so helpful and accommodating the whole morning! The training class was very helpful and focused on safety protocols and track details so that in case of fire emergency I would know how to get out of the harness and the car. The ride along was great as the driver talked me through the track and helped explain how to drive it for a few laps, and then he let it loose so I could really experience the speed! Memories for a lifetime! (And the pics they take are great and will help with that!)

Thanks again to the whole RWRE team at Chicagoland speedway, and don’t waste a moment, this is an adventure that is worth it!

I had an excellent experience at the Chicagoland Speedway. What an experience and privilege to have driven on the same track that you can watch professional stock car drivers race at.

All of the facilities at Chicagoland Speedway are excellent. We were able to sit in the briefing/media room to go through the pre-race instructional which was straightforward and very helpful. Everyone that we interacted with that was involved with RWRE were very nice, very helpful and especially enthusiastic. We were able to talk with and share stories with some of the guys working there about our experience, which was nice to know they also have a great time at these events.

The cars that our group of 3 drove were all indeed REAL stock cars bought from the NASCAR circuit. It was very exciting to drive the #8 Dale Jr car from many years ago. The cars were used on the exterior/interior, but rock solid from every standard I could observe as a driver. If you are someone not involved with racing and this is your very first time getting into a non-factory, not-brand-new car, do not expect things to be cleaned, polished, tight and perfect. Even brand new race cars are not built that way. Safety comes first for these cars and the structures underneath are what gets paid attention to the most.

I would recommend booking an earlier time slot so you don't have to get into fire suits and helmets that have already been used that day.

I am not aware of any absolute limitations for height and weight, but taller people over 6'2" may find the car to be too uncomfortable to fully enjoy. Similar to the fact that many stock car drivers are on the smaller side. One participant in my group was 6'2" and found that he had to crouch to see adequately.

Overall I, and the other two drivers in my group had an excellent experience, 5/5 stars. I can't wait for my next trip to a RWRE event.

On Saturday I drove the #46 car at Rusty Wallace Racing Experience - Chicagoland Speedway. This was a retirement gift from our best friend couple. It was an awesome experience! Definitely a bucket list item! I did the Ride Along with a Pro and 6 laps on my own. I would highly recommend the ride along as it not only demonstrated what was taught in the class (about 45 minutes) but also what kind of traction the cars have in the corners. I don't believe I would have been as fast or aggressive had I not experienced how well these cars "stick" to the track at speed. The staff are efficient getting you registered ready and suited up without making you feel rushed - and the pit crews do a great job making sure you understand and are comfortable with all the safety measures before letting you loose. My accompanying small "fan club" even remarked about how friendly and helpful everyone was. I can honestly say it was more fun than I expected and would definitely do it again - but probably with more laps!
The information they email you in advance has all you want to know about how to dress and what to expect. There are lots of opportunities to take pictures at the track when you're suiting up, getting into the car or videoing your car screaming by.
I'd also recommend paying to get their rooftop video footage so your family and friends can see what you saw and so you can calculate your average MPH from the video timing (there are no speedometers in the cars) BUT sadly, your friends will only get a fraction of the whole experience. Only you will remember the roar of the engine, the G forces in the turns and adrenaline rush! In summary - AWESOME!!

What a rush. Staff was great, made you feel comfortable and safe. They prepared me well a few days before with several well written PDF files highlighting all questions I had before coming. I had 6 laps on Chicagoland Speedway with a spotter helping me all the way. Combination of great staff, an amazing car, sounds/smells, thrill of speed and much more made this a very special day I will never forget. Sure to be back again

Staff was more than helpful during the whole experience. Very well run! Wished that i could have went faster but I'm sure the next time i will push the limit harder! Would recommend it to anyone that wants to get behind the wheel of a race car. Planning on doing it again but next time i will do more laps and when they say it takes 2 laps to get comfortable they are correct. I should have raced more than 5 laps.
