It is a nice park however, no playground. Did not find a place to get close to the lake with a clear spot to stand. Has to stand on large rocks.

I've been a fan of Silver Lake Park since my parents took me here as a child, back in the 50's, to go fishing and have a cookout. Since then, they've expanded the lake, added playgrounds, volleyball sandpits, covered patios, nature/hiking trails, etc. - something...More

The trail at the end of the drive is a 4 1/2 mile long loop an dis a good place to look for birds. There is also a disc golf course at the park. This park is easy to access from the I-70 Highland exit.

The park is nice even on a warm winter day. Not much green around, but we walked on the nature trail and enjoyed going over the wooden bridges and through the trees.

No swimming area at this lake. They do allow fishing with a limit on the size of the motor, believe it is 25 HP. Beautiful, scenic area, several picnic pavilions.
