Lovely, quiet & sheltered

Enjoyed the beach & Southend caravan park. Dog friendly. A great place to visit and relax. Stunning coast line. Lots of drives and walks to do in the area.

Easy to drive on.

This beach goes for kilometres. A great place to walk, fish and even test out the 4WD. Plenty of nice shells to be had.

Sandy, sheltered and safe !

The western beach adjacent Cape Buffon is the most sheltered, being protected by Cape Buffon headland and the adjacent large vegetated dunes. This beach is reasonably flat, which is great for launching dinghies, kayaks and other watercraft. It is too shallow to launch large boats, but great for small children. A free gas BBQ under shelter with 2 tables, is located close by as is a toilet and car park.
On the eastern side of the Outlet Drain two more sandy beaches receive small swells but provide excellent and safe swimming. Both of these are vehicle free, an added bonus for young children. Cars can be parked on the recreation reserve and the beaches accessed via short walking paths. From the last rocky-groyn, the sandy beach continues for about 15km to the township of Beachport.
