walked forever from the parking lot to the garden only to be met by tons of mosquitoes and everyday foliage. No one warned that this place is far from ADA compliant and one of our party almost broke a hip climbing over the humped bridge....More

Read the other reviews and visit the website: The Japanese Garden is gated and fenced, although with a low fence and not open to strolling when it is not open! So you must visit during visiting - apparently tour - hours. This park has a...More

Colonel Fabyan seemed to be an interesting guy and learning more about his history and the history of the area was interesting. Worth attending.

This is a lovely peaceful setting winter or summer. If you're traveling through don't miss it. Afterwards venture down 3rd Street Geneva, Il for refreshments and window shopping.

The park is on both sides of the river. Bike trails follow the river. There is a windmill and a Japanese Garden. The museum is filled with bizarre things like a mummy and an alligator. There are picnic tables and grills available.

It may not have been the best time to come here in the Fall. It looked like the place needed to be cleaned and bushes and trees may have needed some 'pruning'. What was amazing was the fact that those trees are over a hundred...More

The Forest Preserve is 235 acres. That's the best I can do. Try calling the Geneva Parks Dept. Maybe they can help.

According to MapQuest it's 0.81 miles. It might be a nice walk if the weather is good or it certainly wouldn't cost much to take a cab. I hope that helps!
