Kane County Forest Preserves has done a very nice job of making the Fabyan Forest Preserve much more than just another green space. Check carefully when these specific sites are open to visit. The Japanese Garden is a delightful mini-version of larger ones like the...More

We absolutely love the Japanese gardens. Tranquil and beautiful. Love being able to walk though. Not the best hours so we tend to miss when it's open frequently but well worth the wait when we finally got in

This was a guided tour of the Fabyan Villa. The docent was a wealth of information, and it was interesting to see some of Frank Lloyd Wright's early work and to learn about the Fabyans. I'm not sure, though, if the tour was worth the...More

Due to limited days and hours these gardens were closed but from past experience the volunteers who maintain these gardens helped to create an Inviting and magical place to walk - for ages young and old. Will definitely come back for another visit very soon.

The Japanese Garden is a great little visit for some culture in far west suburbia. I think 30-60 min max is all you need to enjoy it. During the spring there is a great horned owl that usually has owlettes in the spring. Bring some...More

The Forest Preserve is 235 acres. That's the best I can do. Try calling the Geneva Parks Dept. Maybe they can help.

According to MapQuest it's 0.81 miles. It might be a nice walk if the weather is good or it certainly wouldn't cost much to take a cab. I hope that helps!
