This windmill was constructed in the Netherlands and brought over a re-built. It still is used to grind flour, corn and flax which you can buy in the Windmill Culture Center across the street. It was a very interesting stop with a docent on hand...More

We were able to see the demonstration of the mill and it was fascinating. The museum is fun as well with lots of memorabilia from yesteryear.

Definitely worth the stop. Amazing working Windmill. It was made in the Netherlands, shipped to Illinois and assembled. Not much in town except the de Immigrant Windmill and the cultural center across the street which ought to be called the Windmill Center. Oh, and it...More

Went here today with my aunts and walked along the riverwalk. It was a sunny day and the walk was great. There is a museum that shows different types of windmills, sells souvenirs and windmill produce, and also does educational talks. The staff were friendly.

I was visiting a friend's farm about an hour away. He and his wife asked if I had ever seen up close or walked inside of a windmill? Of course, I said no, since I've never been to Europe. Fulton is a quaint small farm...More

We loved visiting this windmill but were disappointed that the sails were not turning. It still is something to see on the banks of the Mississippi. The Cultural Center is interesting, too. Nice people at both the windmill and the Cultural Center.
