The Blue Field Tea factory is a must for a visit. It’s amazing to see how tea is made. We had a guide plus a trainee. The trainee who had been there only a week took us around the factory. She was excellent. Sadly I did not get her name but we visited on the Sunday the 8th Jan.

Very interesting visit with a very welcoming and kind Sri Lankan working in the tea factory. He explained us all the different processes and variety of tea. We really enjoyed this visit. After that you can seat and rest at the terrace and get a complimentary tea.

Visit blue field tea factory at own . Somebody from factory gave tour of factory and provide information about processing of the tea . Then we were offered cup of tea for taste . The factory produce only black tea which have different grades . The other teas like green tea and white tea comes from other parts of Sri Lanka. Their black tea prices were affordable. Like I purchased 500 gms pack just for SLK 1000/- . Actually it’s the packing which makes difference in price . Same tea with different packing changes the price . Also factory teas are pure without any mixing of other stuff. which are normally available in open markets .

We got a great tour of this 100 year old factory and learned much about the tea industry and the different qualities and levels of intensity of tea.
There is a very pleasant area to have refreshments and of course a shop to by the produce of the factory.
Worth a visit

It's a very nice place, and it's amazing when you see all types of tea production and taste it. Also, you can buy it, but it's a little expensive

We were welcomed by a very friendly host who showed us around the premises, the factory, the tasting area and the shop. She took plenty of time to explain everything, we learned a lot.

We had an amazing tour with Nethmini, in the tea factory and enjoyed their tea shop. Tea and the pastries. The view and the location gives a great ambience too.

The explanations given by our kind guide were precise and very helpful. The tour around the factory is great, it makes understand the difference between types of tea and their tastes.

A fantastic experience to witness the process of tea making. Such informative staff really explained all the processes on the making of tea. The machines they use are pretty much the same as original ones from years ago., the process has not changed.
The explanation of the different types of tea from the same leafs was especially interesting.
