Went on my first Park District Adult day tour. Did the Wendella Architechure Tour. It
was fabulous. Great weather & the tour guide Stephen was very informative about all the buildings up & down the Chicago river
We took the sunset cruise on a Monday night and it was fantastic. Crew was very informative and helpful. Plenty of room to move around and take photos. Nice bar on the lower level, which is air conditioned. And the price is very reasonable.
Perfect way for sightseeing!
See how the windy city has a lot with water. Nice views, especially from the lake!
Boat and tourguide was good. Why not 5 stars? Well, the explanations about history all start after the first settlement. Why not telling a thing...More
We took the river and lake tour and really enjoyed learning about Chicago’s buildings and history. We went on a weekday morning so it wasn’t crowded. Tour guide (Dave) did a very nice job answering questions and making the information interesting.
An architectural tour of the Chicago river was on our list of things to do on our quick trip, and Wendella seemed to have the best fit for our timeline. We did the tour of just the river. It lasted exactly 1 hour and everything...More
Our guide was very well versed in architecture and offered great insights into Chicago buildings. We had a bit of blip on the evening, as severe fog threatened to shut things down. Originally scheduled to do a tour of Chicago River and then out onto...More
This was a great river tour and we did it on our 2nd day. I would recommend doing this at the beginning of your trip since you'll learn about all the architecture and it will make more sense as you're walking around the city throughout...More
This is a great way to see the city. Tickets were $78 for 2 people doing the river and lake tour. Our guide was David who is born and bred in Chicago and was funny and informative and brought the tour to life for us....More
I loved this tour; I wish I had done it right when i got to Chicago and not after. It’s funny, educational and gives you a introduction to Chicago.
The architecture tour may sound like a tourist trap, but it’s not, actually i think is...More
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale.
Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
