If you like to be outside, this is the place to enjoy being in the city but still enjoy nature. The views of the city are amazing, the sounds of the lake are calming.

We didn't realize we were on the bike path til we almost got run over. For some reason bikes are allowed on the footpath too. Still, a great walk on a summer day.

This is another free activity that you can enjoy with anyone and if you have a bike that will make the adventure more fun. If not, you can rent a Divy bike for the day and have fun on this trail. Try it out!

The lakeshore trail is wide and well marked. Either bring your own bilke or rent from several vendors or automated bike rental racks.

Awesome view of lake, beach and trees on one side with people riding bikes and exercising, with skyscrapers and BUSY downtown area right across the street. I have never seen so many people playing volleyball in my life!

It is nice that in some areas they have separated the walker/runner path from the bike path. To bad some people are not bright enough to figure that out. Some day they may even finish the Navy Pier flyover. It has been so long that...More

Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy
Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of
restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities.
You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the
docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the
captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you
enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you

There is a bike rental concession located in Millenium Park right off of Randolph. It is about a block from the lakefront path. There are numerous places to rent the Divvy bikes, but they do not include helmets.
