When you have some time to people watch in Millennium Park; do it here. The kids splashing in the shallow water and getting soaked under the fountain spray are wonderful to watch. The projected face of Chicagoans from the inside of the glass monoliths reflect...More

I visited early morning and was the only person there. It's a really quirky fountain with humour. Love all the different faces.

The fountains are really cool and especially nice on days over 90 degrees. The tiles on the fountains themselves could use some repair.

Interesting to watch the faces change on the 2 sculptures along with the water fountains to cool off the children playing in the water.

I REALLY enjoyed the mist blowing my way from these fountains. Temps were in the upper 80's - lower 90's and I looked forward to each of the activation's.

It is a particularly beautiful and pleasant place. It is difficult to describe this work of interactive art with which both children and adults play. It is a bold digital sculpture located on the edge of Millennium Park that also brings a very pleasant freshness...More

This is a joyful part of Chicago, especially in the summer when children romp around in the water and wait for the facial images displayed to spit water on them. Its not only a fantastical public art installation, but an interactive area for families.

This is a great way to cool your feet on a hot summer day. Watch the kids splash around and maybe even join them. This is wonderful place to rest and people watch as well.

Crown Fountain is not a swimming pool. It never gets deeper than your ankle. Nobody changes into bathing suits. They wade and kick and splash and little ones think it's heaven. Kick off your shoes and join the fun

The fountain's water feature operates from mid-spring thru' till mid-fall... so I guess it just depends on the weather in any particular year. Mid-fall is so ambiguous!!
