Very interesting fountain and very unusual. You can see different human faces. One face can smile. There are many kinds around of there. You should visit this place.

This fountain is great all the time, but especially magic during or just after the rain. On our visit to Chicago we walked past it several times, and always enjoyed what we saw. Sadly, we didn't time it right to see the water come out...More

I wish there was a description or scripture somewhere that explained the meaning behind the photos and structure. {Maybe there was but I missed it?} Either way, it's worth seeing if you're near that area.

I am not sure if it was our luck or there is something we missed, but the fountains were not working in late October when we visited.

In my preparation for my first trip to Chicago, I saw only one minor comment about this fountain. It intrigued me, so we made a point to find it. This is a must-see--it is the cleverest fountain I've ever seen! And I love that it's...More

Our tour stopped here on our bus trip and we were able to see the fountain. It was super hot outside so there was a ton of kids playing in the water. It was so cute to see them wait for the fountain to spray...More

It is one of the interesting fountains in the list of things you can see around in the millennium park. The park itself is beautiful with some other interesting objects and architecture.

Wasn't sure what all the hype was about, but once you are there and witness the larger than life exhibit it really is very impressive. there is a pool of shallow water separating the two pillars of faces, so you can experience the reflection of...More

We were on our way to the Art Institute and the Crown Fountain was and is totally fascinating. it is not at all surprising to me that there were many people there for quite a period of time looking at the glass towers as the...More

Crown Fountain is not a swimming pool. It never gets deeper than your ankle. Nobody changes into bathing suits. They wade and kick and splash and little ones think it's heaven. Kick off your shoes and join the fun

The fountain's water feature operates from mid-spring thru' till mid-fall... so I guess it just depends on the weather in any particular year. Mid-fall is so ambiguous!!
