If you're looking for a Chicago walking tour that is fun, inspiring and inexpensive, you are looking at the right place!

I'm Margaret, 10-year veteran tour guide, comedian and your personal insider to this awesome city. My 20-year improv experience guarantees that you will get a tour that is entertaining, full of awesome stories and info and not your average scripted recitation. I work hard to make sure my facts are spot on and I promise you I've never given the same tour twice, each group has it's own personality. I keep my groups small and my ideas BIG. Check out my site for more tours and let me know if you have any questions about your trip to Chicago! (Oooh, you can do a private tour too! Just ask!)

Margaret was our tour guide and she was funny, energetic, knowledgeable, and kind. Couldn't ask for more out of a tour guide. The tour was 1.5 hours long and quite interesting due to the history of the Pedway. It was a rainy day in January so the Pedway tour was perfect. it's indoors and warm in the winter.

Margaret was so enthusiastic about the pedway system you couldn't help but have a good time on the tour. I've lived in Chicago over 20 years and she answered questions I've always had about the pedway system.

Margaret is so enthusiastic and passionate about her tours, sharing her knowledge of the city and the projects that coincide with some of the tours. She gives the not so typical information you might get on another tour. It's not just about history but also plenty of unknown facts, personal stories and anecdotes to go along with the usual.

I've been loving the Pedway for some time and have run into a few snags this winter getting around with my new grandson in a stroller. Decided I needed professional help and joined Margaret during her week of indoor Pedway living. I feel like I've found a new friend and even more excitement for the Pedway. Margaret's enthusiasm is contagious,... More

I live on the pedway and have been exploring it & loving it for a year. I went on the pedway tour & loved it. Learned some new indoor shortcuts. I loved learning some of the quirky facts about the pedway. The tour was fun& informative.

Margaret has first hand knowledge of this hidden jewel. She was on day five of living on the Pedway - just under the city of Chicago. Yes, it can be done and she did it while still motivating her group and staying warm. Fun and informative, and you can stay cozy and dry in January in Chicago!

Lived here all my life and just last week I read of this pedway. 3 days later Margaret Hicks announces her Pedway Project, 5 days later I'm on a pedway tour. Margaret was warm, funny and informative. My son and I had a blast! Highly recommended

As part of her self described "Pedway Project", Margaret Hicks has been living at a hotel on the Pedway and is restricting all of her activities to anything accessible through the Pedway. As part of this project she is giving complimentary tours this week. I was lucky enough to be able to join one. Like most Chicagoans I was somewhat... More

I went on the Chicago Elevated pedway tour on 1.10.16. The guide was Margaret Hicks and the tour was an hour long. We started at the Fairmont, and wound our way through the maze of the pedway (a pedestrian-only walkway that snakes under many Chicago buildings, but sometimes is confusing to navigate). Margaret has a lot of knowledge of not... More

This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city.
