We are Chicago's river transportation service. An iconic fleet of black and yellow boats, we serve all three branches of the Chicago River from March to November. Our stops include Michigan Avenue, Chinatown, North Avenue, Clark and LaSalle, The Chicago Riverwalk, and Union and Ogilvie Train Station. There is no better way to get around Chicago than by boat!

Happened by the Chicago Water Taxi Kiosk near North Michigan Avenue and decided to see the details. We were flexible on time, knew we wanted to take in the Willis Tower (along the CWT stops) and figured we would give it a try. Totally worth...More

The views you get from this activity cannot compare to anything else! What a great way to see the city! If you plan it right, you get to see all the highlights. Unfortunately there's quite a bit of waiting time in the fall as they...More

If like me you feel that the $30 plus per person being charged by the river cruise companies is a bit excessive, this is the way to see central Chicago from the water. A day pass costs $9-I took the boat from Michigan Avenue to...More

Boat taxi running from Michigan Ave. to Chinatown with stops at the Ogilvy Transportation Center. This is not a fast taxi, but a slow boat ride taxi - which is good since it allows you some great sightseeing along the rivers in the heart of...More

We wanted to get between places in a timely manner and were tired of walking, so we opted for the Water Taxi. The modest cost was worth the rest and wonderful sights along the waterfront.

This is just a fun thing to do at least once in the summer. I take it from the Shedd Aquarium to Navy Pier for lunch at least once a summer. It is about the same price as a car cab, and takes about the...More

Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan
Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent
Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago
River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out
neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the
place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with
shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and
dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale.
