Located in the heart of Lincoln Park, just outside of Lincoln Park Zoo, the Cafe Brauer is not only elegant, but also offers great views of the immediate area, as well as the Chicago skyline. The building was built in 1908 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The centerpiece of the restaurant is the Great Hall... More

Visited here with family who live in Chicago. It was easy to park, get a table and the food was lovely and good value. It's within a couple of minutes walk from the zoo too which meant it was perfect for the young ones in the group.

Went as a family group, 6 adults and a baby in a stroller/buggy. The lunch was very good and the staff were friendly and supportive.

Attended a wedding reception at Cafe Brauer this weekend; first time I'd been there in years since it first opened a couple of decades ago when it was often used for charity benefits. Great, grand space with phenomenal views of the city. Lovely outdoor porch for cocktails, grand hall is an ideal place for dinner and dancing. Hall was kind... More

Delightful patio overlooking Lincoln Park Lake. Family, and dog, friendly; space for small children to roam. Diverse, well-presented menu.

Our food ranged from average to good, but the patio is a blissful place to be on a pretty day. Lovely views, nice menu options, and good service.

I was fortunate to get to visit Cafe Brauer for a wedding. Ground floor is open to the public, but on upper level, there is a large hall that is used for weddings. The decor is classical, but very well maintained. It has an outdoor area, where it has great views of the south pond and Michigan ave buildings. I... More

Ordered fish tacos and buffalo chicken salad - fresh, generous and delicious. A brilliant setting and a complete surprise to find such great food at what we thought was probably likely only to be a generic tourist cafe.

We went for dinner and had a lovely patio table overlooking the zoo and the city skyline. The menu is simple but very reasonably priced. We had the steak with chimichurra sauce. It came with grilled brocolli and a side. I had sweet potato fries and my friend had a salad. Great deal for $15.95! The food was tasty and... More

We like this quaint water-side outdoor cafe with its beautiful view of the city. It's a nice place to meet friends after work or on the weekends for a drink and/or meal/snack and good people watching on the boardwalk and nearby zoo. (Many wedding parties come to take photos on the nearby bridge, and they often shoot movies there as... More
