Zoos are always a hit with my family, and Lincoln Park Zoo is no exception. We found several Volunteers in different places to answer questions, several presentations going on with the animals, and today many animals were out, just like the people, to enjoy the rare warm temperatures and sunshine! The zoo is big enough to spend several hours in,... More

Went to the Zoo on New Years day - and was surprised how much fun it was. The Zoo was free - they ask for contributions (but it is hard/ impossible to find the place to make a donation...) - loads of animals and great exhibits - especially the Monkeys and Gorillas!

We love LP Zoo. It's a great place to spend the day with visitors or just by yourself on a nice day. Terrific views of downtown, super friendly and informative volunteers and easy to get in/out of. Take the chance and walk just outside the north gate and see the conservatory as well. Because it's free, you can spend as... More

Very much enjoyed the visit to Lincoln Park Zoo and its a half day visit not a full day, it was absolutely full of school kids when I visited but that is to be expected I suppose!

This is a great zoo and it's free to everyone all the time. There is also a conservatory next door so you can make a day of it and see them both. Parking is hard to find so be prepared to walk a little especially if it is a nice day. The animal exhibits are well maintained and you can... More

My husband and I go to Chicago pretty frequently and have visited a lot of the local attractions. On our most recent trip we decided to check out the Lincoln Park Zoo. What a wonderful zoo! It has a lot of great exhibits, beautiful park, and it's free.

Great Ape house is a must see. Enjoyed the seals. Great Winter festival called Zoo Lights! Loved the guy carving ice blocks with a chainsaw! Go across the street to RJ Grunts for lunch. Apparently this is the first restaurant of the guy who invented Maggianos.

This is a great, free zoo. Plenty to see and great for walking and relaxing. There is ice skating on winter weekends. Fun for families or couples.
