Museum of the history, archaeology, languages, art and cultures of the ancient Near East. The galleries display objects from ancient Egypt, Nubia, Persia, Mesopotamia, Syria, Anatolia, Palestine, and Israel, including mummies, monumental sculpture, some of the earliest examples of writing, and objects of daily life. I have visited the museum at a time when most rooms were closed for some reorganization. Still what was open was amazing! The Prehistoric Archeological collection is quite interesting, spanning from the Neolithic up to ~500BC... one hour was definitely short to visit it
