Worth the walk even if you have no shopping needs. Well manicured and easy to maneuver this is a must see when visiting Chicago. It can be crowded and busy in the summer.

So much to do, magnificent views, tons of food options. Great area for both shopping and people watching! Top of the nine shopping! Lot's of name brand stores. I see why it's called the Miracle Mile!

The Magnificent Mile is just a street with high end retail. It isn't a bad walk, but it wasn't really interesting or anything special. Do it if you have the time. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother.

Combination of high and good stores, non stop on the "Mile". The planters are beautiful, some have orchids, annuals in bloom - so many bright and lovely colors.

There is one of every store you can imagine. UA, Apple, Saks, NM and Macy's. Lots of small boutiques located along the side streets and are actually more fun than the main drag.

The Mile fits right in with the likes of 5th Avenue in NYC and Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles! So, so clean, the floor glistens!

A must see and do when visiting downtown. Although I'm not a big shopper, it's fun to go into stores I don't have access to in Chicago. For Water Tower Place, my strategy is to take the elevator to the 7th floor, then work my...More

Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan
Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent
Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago
River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out
neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the
place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with
shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and
dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale.

Staying at Hyatt Regency in Rosemont (Chicago) and have never been before. Need some ideas for 2-3 days. Going to a convention there Aug.2017 for a Fest. Would like to arrive at least a couple days beforehand but not sure what there is to do, and how many days before would be good. Convention is on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Yes with a good pair of runners or walking shoes.
Do you need a rental car or can you walk to whalers village, or shopping, restaurants etc? Is there a local shuttle or bus? Can you ride bus to airport?
