It’s absolutely worth it to walk around the outside of this building and see all the little bits of history that are incorporated into it. I took pictures of 61 of them (yup, I counted lol) and then stopped because they just kept coming! We...More

ONe cans till enter the lobby and gase at the Neo-gothic decor, or one can gaze star-wards toward flying buttresses and gothic carvings. The building is no longer owned by the Tribune and is, I think, about to be turned into Hotel space and condo's....More

This building is so unique and a Chicago landmark. Don’t miss the work the masons did when they imbedded the special rocks from around the world and special places. You can see them at eye level just walking around the building.

It is an incredible feat of architecture and definitely worth the visit. We did not try to go inside because we were on our way to other sites, but it was amazing to stand outside a building with so much history.

Being a previous employee in the early 90's, I was stunned to see the Trib Tower closed and moved to newer facilities. Doors locked, WGN gone although, if you pay close attention to the architecture, looks for stones used in the build brought back from...More
