Chicago's breath-taking National Landmark Theatre hosts concerts,...

Chicago's breath-taking National Landmark Theatre hosts concerts, comedians, theatrical productions and special events every year. The 3,600 seat auditorium is seven stories high, and the vertical "C-H-I-C-A-G-O," sign is one of the few such signs in existence today. A symbol of State Street and Chicago, the marquee is a landmark in itself, as is the Wurlitzer pipe organ. Patrons can also go behind-the-scenes on their educational venue tour, which runs a few times a week.

Even if you don't see a show here, you have to at least snap a pic from the outside! I've mostly seen comedy shows here, and have always enjoyed the experience. Drinks are priced incredibly high, but that's expected. You can take the drinks to your seat - so that's a bonus! Ushers/bartenders/ticket takers have always been courteous from what... More

Great entertainment at this classic theater. Took my 3 year old grandson to see Paw Patrol live over the weekend. Tickets were expensive ($70), especially for a 3 year old, but the performance was great and the theater is amazing.

This was a tour of the backstage of the theatre along with it's history and gossip. It really is a fascinating look at the golden age of movie palaces from the past. 1 hour very well spend.

Went to see DWTS tour and was in the third row from the top. Perfect view. The seats are staggered and are steep so you're not looking at someone's head. There are a lot of stairs to get to the balcony so it may not be good for those that can't do stairs. The ushers were good with assisting the... More

Came for Jim Jeffries. Great show. Still needs a Bigger bathroom as well as more stalles. The women's line was all the way down the bottom floor. The seats are little cramped so if you're a bigger person may not be very comfortable . But the amazing acoustics of this older theater makes any show you see you there truly... More

Bought tickets to a comedy show...not that great a performance, but the theater itself made it worth our time. WOW. Who designs these places?? Very gifted craftsmen, that's who! So ornate, so turn-of-the-century. I was transported back in time, imagining seeing a silent film back in the theater's early years.

We wanted to see this iconic theatre on a recent trip to Chicago. Rather than see a show during our visit (Chris Tucker would have been fun), we chose to take a tour of the theatre, and we are so happy that we did. Our guide Ian was full of information about the history of the theatre, and he made... More

Came for the Sexy Liberal Tour. Impressive old theater that is well maintained. Will come back for other shows.

Saw Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats with special guest Mavis Staples and the concert was one of the best I've seen. The atmosphere in the theater gives a retro vibe and while the seats are very close together, I felt they have some of the bigger and more roomier seats as compared to other theaters in the city. The... More
