Heard about this bar thru the grape vine and decided to try it out. Let me tell you we were not dissapointed. The drinks were delicious, the music was amazing, and the history/ back story of this bar was over the top. I highly recommend...More

Went for the music and atmosphere--of these two points the venue delivers. A very historic atmosphere with awesome jazz playing. The drinks cost more than I think they should, but not too much to be unreasonable. But the staff. Rude, short, and just so-full-of-themselves that...More

The Green Mill Cocktail Lounge in Chicago, IL treated a person who has disabilities poorly on the night of August 9, 2018. My friend "Smith" uses a walker everyday and was coming with me to meet friends there. When we entered, and paid an $8...More

We stopped in on a Sunday night. The cover charge was only $5 and the band was excellent. Many of the reviews complain that the bartenders are rude but we didn’t find that to be true the night we were there. Beautiful building.

We were really looking forward to going in and having a couple of drinks in this historical speakeasy; however, they take cash only and we didn't want to pay the huge fees associated with getting cash from a "foreign" ATM machine (conveniently located by the...More

We’d heard about the Green Mill as a legendary Chicago venue years ago. Andy Brown’s Thursday jazz guitar session seemed a great way to celebrate a 70th birthday ... and it was. From it’s classic marquee of bulbs and neon to the dark interior lined...More

The Green Mill Lounge is an iconic Chicago Speakeasy and you can see it in the decor. But the place is also known for another thing. Poetry Slams started in this lounge over 25 years ago by Marc Smith. He is usually there unless he...More

Al Capone is history...and so is Green Mill's jazz and aura! Went on a Friday night at 1130. $15 door, followed by rules of no talking inside. Below par performances from men in their 70s. Largely older retired crowd. Dark interiors. Boring vibes. We stayed...More

Good for you. A real music venue is not for supplying background music. More like a performance.

While show content is fine for a 4 yr old, this is a bar and in IL they may be restricted from being there. I'd suggest you call the bar and ask.
