SHHHH the band is on. OK I get it the band is playing but jazz was created for the audience not the artist-it's to have fun. This place was not fun. No talking or you will be asked to leave. Well if you want that...More

Fantastic old-school haunt for live jazz and other shows. Come early for the shows if you want a good seat. Also, it’s cash only.

My daughter took us there for jazz music, but on that night it was Big Band/Swing. the 12 piece band had members from their 20s to their 70s. Music was great, but the drinks were very expensive. Hey, it's Chicago.

Having a strong fascination with Al Capone and the organized crime era of the early twentieth century, checking out the Green Mill Cocktail Lounge upon my trip to Chicago was high on my must-see list. Let's just say this bar did not disappoint. The very...More

What an incredible ambiance! As soon as you walk in, you feel as though you’re going back to Al Capone days, imagining him enjoying his time. Please get there early to make sure you have a good seat, and enjoy the music!

Barely above average in most categories. But it has lots of history and the Jazz was good. Always a wait in the weekends and the bouncers can be less than jovial, even rude, which maybe part of the job description. If you don’t mind waiting...More

While show content is fine for a 4 yr old, this is a bar and in IL they may be restricted from being there. I'd suggest you call the bar and ask.
