There is a small chapel and a mini amphitheater. Worth a look and a photo is the statue of st Peter and Jesus Christ as if being bestowed upon as the very first Pope. In fact it was visited by the Papal hierarchy.

Built on the lakeside, the Church offers a beautiful scene of the Sea of Galilee. Architecture of the Church is not as impressive as other churches in the area, but the Rock inside the Church bears significance in accordance to the Church tradition.

One of the many sites around the Sea of Galilee where we encounter Jesus in his ministry. Here we are reminded of when Jesus restored Peter and made him the rock upon which he built his church.

Walking from Tabgha to this church can be compared to the foot journey of Jesus 2000 years ago. The church itself is unassuming, but the grounds are lovely and have direct access to the Sea of Galilee, well worth the visit. Need to park the...More

The quaint Church on the symbolic site of the rock where Jesus reinstated Peter as the leader of the Church. On the banks of the Sea of Galilee. It is worth a visit to the water and short stay in the Church.
