Welcome to Bearna Golf Club! Located at the gateway to Connemara in the Gaeltacht, with commanding views of Galway Bay, the Burren and the Aran Islands, and only five miles from Galway city. Built on Connemara moorland it is a high scenic area with features and colours and plant and animal life that you won't find elsewhere. Wonderful characteristics of gorse bushes, ditches, humps and bumps, twists and turns, all surrounded by authentic Irish peat bog, make for a thrilling round of golf.

This is one of those Golf Courses that when you look back at your round you say to yourself ''I'd love another crack at it and this time........'' I played the course in the company of 2 Members and their guest on New Years Eve and thoroughly enjoyed both the company and the challenge. I lost a few balls but... More

I love this place. Not only do you have the joy of a challenging round of golf but the views of the local area are second to none. Stand up on the 15th green and the view over Galway bay is spectacular The course is in great shape & really tests your skills as a golfer. Definitely a must if... More

This is a good testing golf course. You might loose some balls. Take it easy. It was not very busy the Wednesday I played there last June. Check out for cheaper Green Fee deals with the owners; they can be kind. Great views of Galway Bay, The Aran Islands. A delight. Not much life at the 19th hole. Big clubhouse... More

First few holes were nice, the rest of the course needs some work. A little expensive for the condition the course is in. Lost a lot of golf balls.

A course built on the side of a hill composed mainly of heather and gorse with the fairways stretched over reclaimed bog. The greens were slow and unreceptive. Bring at least one dozen golf balls and leave your ProVs at home as one will loose a lot of golf balls on this course made for long accurate hitters who can... More

VERY TIGHT TESTING COURSE WHERE YOU WILL USE MOST CLUBS IN YOUR BAG AND PLAY A RANGE OF DIFFERENT SHOTS THROUGHOUT THE ROUND. A lot of thinking required for every shot. Irons of the tee and bump and runs are the order of the day. Nice people to deal with. Fine scenery and views on a day like today. Would... More

I had the pleasure to stumble across this jewel of a course last week whilst on holiday.set in spectacular beauty, this course is a must to play. On my golfing journey I look for holes to contribute to make up my perfect course, unusually Bearna has two, the 15th and 16th off the whites. I had a wonderful welcome from... More

Having played this course on a regular basis over the last number of years, I'm of the opinion that Bearna Golf Course has developed into one of the finest in the west of Ireland if not anywhere. It is a very good test of golf & if you walk off the 18th green having played to your handicap, I say... More

While I did enjoy my round of golf in good company on a beautiful day at 40e I thought it was a bit saucy especially as the owner led me to believe when I booked it that his prices were reasonable. I've played much better courses for less money especially when the rates for golf are dropping. At this price... More
