We visited many of the beaches in Western Crete. This beach doesn't have the Wow factor of some of the others but is peaceful and quiet. If you want a break from the masses and beautiful people posing for selfies at Balos and Efalonissi go...More

People are very friendly, free camping and all food is as fresh as you can get it, with some of the most delicious desserts ever....surprise after surprise. People there work hard, respect them. Best place to get away from hectic things...

Beautiful landscape but we took the winding narrow and mountainous road where our ears started popping and restaurant with fish very expensive and not fresh....wouldn't go again.

Great taverns with a great view But sadly many big stones in the water and only a small part with sand on the beach... Bathing in swallow water is possible, but swimming is dangerous here

It's not the smartest bay on Crete and certainly not the easiest access but we'll worth the effort. Fresh fish caught by the restauranteurs father is something not often encountered. A charming place to relax swim and enjoy the sun.

The beach and water are very clean. But it is not a sand beach but stones. Very nice place for relax and sundown

This is quite an exposed bay with a mixture of pebbles and sand. There are sunbeds for customers of the tavern. The drop into the sea is quite steep so I wouldn't recommend for people with young children.

Hi. Not really, nothing with all the facilities provision. There are few small ones near Chania. The one worth mentioning is the pebbled beach in Paleochora but it is an hour drive from Kissamos.

Absolutely not a walking distance. If no car hire is planned than motorbike scooter have to be rented in order to get there.
