This lake is great for fishing and it has a lovely park that is very well maintained. Great for kayaking the lake also.

This is a lovely oasis close to town and rightly popular with the locals. We enjoyed a walk through the visitor's center where we learned about the creation of Lake Lowell, the area wildlife and were able to watch nesting osprey through a high-powered telescope.

Too many people here for me, but it is one of the best bodies of water in the area. Fishing and boating are the best activities at this location.

Took the Observation Trail today and had a lovely walk. Few people about, not much wildlife (they were probably trying to stay warm!) but a nice stretch of the legs on an easy trail.

We visited Deer Flat during July 2016, and were disappointed by the lack of any wildlife. We saw only a couple of blackbirds, and nothing else. Also there were many bees which kept landing on us, which made our walk rather unpleasant. I suspect this...More
