Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Big Springs is lovely. It's always fun to feed the trout and ducks. However, it's so frustrating that local cabin/seasonal owners (not the business workers) complain about tourists always being in the way, increasing traffic and cell tower usage. They even called out Asians... that makes me unhappy and willing to spend time/ money where I'm not welcome. Sad...I would recommend the IP Chamber needs to help address this.

This outdoor destination has it own paved parking lot now. It is actually more of a trailhead lot. There are not as many fish here as there used to be, but seems to be no decrease in the massive flow of spring water here -- as this is one of the world's largest springs. My son on a visit a few days after mine saw a moose in the water. I only saw lots of ducks.

It's worth the side trip to check this out. Clear water, lots of fish, the springs flow a MASSIVE amount of water straight out of the side of the mountain. Wish we would've camped back there. One Con: Lots of ATVs. So noise and dust is a small issue.

Beautiful cold springs that are bubbling from various locations. You can feed the trout from the bridge. No fishing, swimming or boating allowed.

we always have so much fun when we float the river here. not very deep at the deepest point, maybe 7 feet it seems. otherwise pretty shallow and perfect for all ages.

This is an unbelievably beautiful sight. It is the head of the Snake River, and the water so clear...seeing large trout off the bridge. Surrounding area lovely as well, and Harriman St Park and many other recreational activities close by.

Well marked trails around the lake make for a nice hike. Lots of beautiful wild flowers along the trail as well.

See one of the headwaters of the Snake River -- springs fill the pond on one side of the bridge and all that water turns into a river as it flows under the bridge. It is a great place to see and feed rainbow trout, but no fishing allowed. We were there early in the season so we didn't get to visit the Johnny Sack cabin.

One of the primary sources of the Henry's Fork, this is a great stop. Easy walking, great scenery, convenient parking, good restrooms. This is a great stop for anyone to see a true wonder of nature and stretch your legs. Bring your camera.

This place is the place to go to relax a bit. Whether you are on the bridges watching wildlife, floating the river, watching the sun set over Sawtelle, or whatever- this is a nice place to be and none of it cost a penny to participate!
