I grew up swimming and working here. Once a thriving business that invited families of all walks of life to come and enjoy the great outdoors and a good party. We had live music every other weekend.

Our trip to Red River Hot Springs for our Anniversary was wonderful. The Lodge and rooms are rustic. The lodge is off the grid and laid back and is run by a generator 7:00am to 10:00pm.The rooms lighting & heated are on propane after the power is off. We brought our own bedding and sheets as well as drinks, but... More

A fun rustic adventure. The rooms in the Lodge were clean and very large with 10 foot ceilings. The generator only runs from 7 to 10 am and 7 to 10 pm, so those are the only times there is electricity to your room. The rooms also have wall mounted propane lanterns and a gas heater/fireplace. You need to bring... More

Went for the day to enjoy the hot springs pool. Always call ahead to make sure it is open. Bring your own food. We tried to eat there as they have a little restaurant service. Basically was out of everything on the menu and what we did have wasn't very good and way overpriced. Had to use lanterns to go... More

The cabin we stayed in was clean upon arrival, we did our research and were aware of the need to bring our own bedding. It is definitely a rustic experience, with no power to the cabins, but heat and light was available via propane that was nicely plumbed in. The pool and hot tub area showed some wear and tear,... After reading quite a few reviews about this place while it was run by the previous owners, I was a bit nervous as to what we would find after making the long drive out there; however, I'm happy to say we had a great experience! This place is definitely not for people looking for a 4-5 star experience, but it... More

It is winter, and on impulse I made a trip up to Red River Hot Springs yesterday. Unfortunately I arrived to find a closed road gate a couple hundred yards from the place. I had simply assumed it would be open for business. Call first is my advice.

I am very sorry I missed you. This time of year it is very difficult and not economically feasible to be open everyday. My web site: (redriverhotspringsresort.com) and voice message explains our hours of operation. You can also email questions or reservation request to redriverhotsprings@hotmail.com. As demand and business increase so will my hours and days of operation, until then... More

While deer hunting in the area in November, a bitter cold snap set in with subzero temps and snow. Since we could not sleep outside with our camping setup, we booked a room at the lodge. With great surprise, it was quite comfortable, warm, and saved the hunting trip. Very cool that there is an off-grid lodge that far into... More

Wish I could rate Red River but alas I cannot. We were at the gate on Friday September 5, 2014. The sign says they open at 9 am but at 10:15 no one from Red River had shown up and the gate was still locked. There were three groups waiting to visit. We all left.

We have enjoyed several hot springs in the mountains, but this is one that we would not recommend. It was a memorable experience, but not in a good way. The best part of the experience was the beautiful drive through the national forest to get there. When we entered the main lodge, we were hit with a horrible stench. There... More

I am sorry that your visit to Red River Hot Springs was not a pleasant one. We are a rustic Hotsprings deep in the national forest. We keep the generator off during the day time to keep costs down. Otherwise the added cost would have to be passed to you the customer. I disagree with your complaints, the lodge and... More
