Spent the afternoon at this beautiful park and marina. Walking and bike paths alongside the lake. We saw a scenic plane take off as we sat on a bench enjoying the view.

Spent the day on the lake on a friends leisure boat , stopping off at restaurants and motoring on down the Coeur d'alane river. Saw Osprey and other wildlife. Very peaceful way to spend the day.

We were told this is the most beautiful lake in the Pacific Northwest and now we believe it. Sherman Ave that runs down to the lake has lots of shops and places to eat and drink and we enjoyed the time there

Yes the beach is free There are parking lots where you pay. Or just park on the street for free, 2 hour limit in close. Or go about four blocks away for free all day. We drive a 33foot motorhome so go 4 blocks away.

Take the low trail to the west around tubs hill. You will find a beach at the southern most point. This location is nearby downtown CDA.
