The small Museum of North Idaho does an excellent job of presenting many facets of the area's history, from the era of steamboats plying the waters of nearby Lake Coeur d'Alene, to logging & lumbering, to mining and, most recently, greeting tourists. The well designed...More

...there would be little reason to come here. Nice people but not enough stuff to call itself a museum in my opinion. Glad to donate to the local economy though.

We're full time travelers and enjoy local museums. The location of this museum is on the edge of a beautiful park and next to the resort, but the exterior is deteriorating and the interior is shabby. The folks in the museum were welcoming and friendly,...More

The filmstrip gave a great overall perspective on the history of the area. Exhibits were interesting too. This museum will take a 45 mins to see. Take a walk on the waterfront when you are done?

I wasn't incredibly impressed with the museum because there wasn't much to look at. The employees were very sweet and knowledgeable, but the attractions themselves were not all that in my opinion.
