Miles and miles of nothing but sage brush and hay and then a few rocks. The balanced rock is interesting but we didn't think it was that impressive. Maybe we have done too much traveling. Out in the middle of nowhere and I mean nowhere....More

There is just one balanced rock to see, not many. There is a ravine which is just south of the balanced rock with a camping area which is interesting to stop and see.

We happened here while trying to locate Balanced Rock. What a gem of a little park! We would love to bring a picnic & a few games and hang here in the future!

This was a nifty sight to see. People were hiking right next to the balanced rock but I stayed at a distance because it looked like it could topple over at any moment. Worth driving to but make sure you have a full tank of...More

We were traveling from Jacpot NV, to Boise ID, and decided to take a detour to check this place out. It is out in the middle of farmlands and than it drops down onto a canyon. You come to a park area first. Beautiful creek...More

Heading from Twin Falls, you'll first come into a really interesting & beautiful canyon. So different from the flat farm fields before it. Then there is the Balanced Rock State Park, which we drove into thinking the "rock" was there. The park was very pretty...More

Are you planning on camping here? I believe it's mostly a picnic area and it would be first come first serve.

I would guess at least two hours which gives you time to get there from Twin Falls, spend a little time there and get back to Twin Falls.
