A typical capitol with an impressive dome and rotunda. A nice lawn and building about which the folks in Idaho can be proud.

I was in Boise for business, and walked to the capitol on my own. It was a weeknight evening (around 5:30p), and I had the place to myself (I didn't look into any tours, just walked around the main interior by myself). The inside is...More

Boise is our 42nd Capitol to visit. It was easy to find and parking was plentiful on a Saturday. There were no public tours and the visitor center had no one working there so we were on our own to figure out where to go....More

We walked to the Capital just before checking out of our hotel and I'm so glad we did. It's beautiful on the exterior but wait until you step inside, I've never seen so much marble. It's truly stunning. And the history is incredible, we could...More

Idaho's state capitol is very accessible. Chambers are open to see and enter (when not in session). The interior is quite beautiful.

The internal surprised me a lot with everything done with white-ish marble, it is really impressive and for sure completely different from every other building in town. It deserve a visit (also a quick one if you have little time).

Put this on your list to do when in Boise. The building is lovely and you can visit so many of the different levels and many of the rooms by yourself. The marble interior is gorgeous. A great free attraction and free parking is available...More
