I'm on a mission to see all fifty state capitols. This was number 19. A pretty typical building. Tours are not available unless you schedule one. Be aware the gift shop has limited hours. We thought we would visit early Monday morning, but the gift...More

What a great building. We walked through on a Monday morning in August and were surprised how accessible everything is. We are from California and could not believe how nice everyone was. We even got to meet the Governor and he was gracious enough to...More

While we were downtown, we stopped by the Capitol. A beautiful building with great architecture. We were able to walk freely around the capital and admire all it had to offer.

My wife and I passed through Boise on our Seattle-NY road trip in October 2017. We're sightseers all the way, and it was great to see the Capitol in the Idaho state capital. It is as attractive as many of the other Capitols, and well...More

We dropped into the Idaho Captiol to have a look see. It was an interesting visit although, like many state capitols, not really a great deal to see. The grounds are lovely and Boise is a beautiful area.

The Boise Capital building is incredible. The marble is beautiful. You can just walk in and look around. The security guard was great to talk about the history of the building.

It was interesting to see how the capital differed from others I had scene. I wouldn't go out of your way to see it but if you're within walking distance it is an interesting place to check out for 30 minutes to an hour

For a rather small state, Idaho had big goals in establishing its capitol. Idaho's center of government is a worthy replica of the White House, complete with Italian marble. A booklet is available for a self walking tour, with other tour events available during active...More

We try to see the Capitol buildings in every state we visit so this was definitely on the to-do list. It's a beautiful building, with lovely grounds, and has some great information throughout. As an added bonus, one of the State Senators was at the...More
