The statehouse in Boise is an Idaho treasure. It is a beautiful place that every Idahoan should see. It is well-maintained and open most days of the year, even on weekends. They have done a great job of matching new with old when they increased...More

I love looking at state Capitol buildings and this one doesn’t disappoint. It’s a lovely building with interesting exhibits. A great place for a rest stop.

My son lives in Boise and works in Boise as a bartender at the Marriott Residence Inn, where he's always asked about interesting places to visit while in town. He graduated from Boise State University and has lived in town long enough to have all...More

It is awesome to see where all the laws of the state are created, where the politicians work, the architecture, the history that is available to review and the statues about the property. If possible get a tour, so many more things to learn.

The area is very busy during the day, but it’s nice and quite in the evening. The kids loved ringing the bell. There are tours during the day, but we still haven’t made it out to one. The architecture is nice as well.

We drove by and took photos, then walked back by for a closer look. There is a replica of the Liberty Bell out front that is pretty neat. We did not go inside, since it was after hours.

Stopped to see the Capitol.... we had a great time walking thru the building and the grounds. If you haven't gone to see it you should. And don't forget to walk around the surrounding grounds. There are lots of statues and history.

On the bottom floor, there is a huge display of Idaho state history, as well as about how government is set up. It takes a while to read through all this information. Also, you can wander freely all around the building and see the meeting...More

Hello, If the dog is a service animal, it is welcome in the building. For all other animals, we request they do stay outside. Thank you for your question.
