This is a very small zoo, but they use their space well. We didn't spend a lot of time walking around unnecessarily. We were there a little over 2 hours. Quite a lot of it appears to be under construction at the moment. Their enclosures...More

It was a truly great time at Zoo Boise, for me as an adult and my two girls. The staff was awesome in every way. The kids got to hand fed giraffes, see live bats, hissing cockroaches and so much more. It was an inexpensive...More

The zoo was insanely cheap for some of the zoos I have been to, 7 dollars at the time I visited. Also it was largely under construction so that may of had to do with it. Decent sized property with many animals but so many...More

I usually enjoy a trip to the zoo, but was sorely disappointed in this experience. The exhibits were so small. Animals were pacing their enclosures. Many of the enclosures were basic concrete and glass enclosures. There is significant construction underway, hopefully there are more updated...More

Nice zoo you will see some different things not seen in other zoo's. Giant anteater, striped hyenas, a few animals from Australia. Plenty of trees for shade. Worth a visit

Excellent smallish zoo. They've done an excellent job with limited space and funds. Giraffes were a big hit. Snow Leopard. Monkeys are great but need new habitats.

While on vacation we figured it would be fun to check out this zoo. We are so sorry for making this decision. Boise has no business running this zoo. We have never seen so many depressed looking animals in one place. The cages were all...More

The day we went was 108 degree - record breaking heat! I was trying to find something for my grandkids to do. So we braved the heat. The zoo is small. We were not able to see lion nor tiger due to the heat. Most...More

We enjoyed our time at the Boise Zoo. We found that many enclosures had signs up saying that the featured animal was not on display for some reason or other. Unfortunately, the new 4 y/o male lion was staying cool in his den and so...More
