The Basque Center is famous for their Kalimotxo (Coke and red wine, over ice), to-the-point service, and affordable drinks. This is a small bar, with many Basques frequenting or working so you can hear the wonderful language of the Basque people. The facility is huge...More

Interesting history of the basques in Idaho. Takes about 1-2 hours in the museum. Mostly plaques and posters and photos and not much interactive exhibits.

My niece and I visited the Museum after hearing about it for years. Having grown up with friends who are Basque, it was fascinating to learn more about their culture. Shortly after we arrived, a docent invited us to go next door to tour the...More

Nice spot for events. I haven't eaten there, but it hosted the race registration for Robie Creek. It's a great spot.

The Basque culture is well presented and the reasons for their concentration locally. There were a number of exhibits relating the Basques of northern Spain and even an exhibit of the Gurnnika bombing prior to WWII

As part of our downtown walking we visited the museum. It is a well laid out site, with fascinating information about the Basque settlement in Boise. Staff was welcoming and informative. Well worth the time spent learning about this settlement.

Prior to our day in Boise I had no knowledge of the Basque history in Idaho. We were told that the Basque community in Boise is the largest concentrations of these resilient people outside of their European homeland. This museum is well worth an hour...More
