The Basque culture is well presented and the reasons for their concentration locally. There were a number of exhibits relating the Basques of northern Spain and even an exhibit of the Gurnnika bombing prior to WWII

As part of our downtown walking we visited the museum. It is a well laid out site, with fascinating information about the Basque settlement in Boise. Staff was welcoming and informative. Well worth the time spent learning about this settlement.

This is a very cool history lesson of a region in Spain that has made Boise their American stumping grounds. Take the tour of the boarding rooms and sport court and the museum gives you some great history of the culture, people, and why they...More
