What a thought provoking and lovely memorial. My husband and I visited this moving memorial to Anne Frank and were pleasantly surprised at how well done it was. It not only is a tribute to her but to others who have fought for human rights...More

It's a free open-air memorial. The aesthetics are similar to the Vietnam memorial and Holocaust memorial in Portland ... which I kind of like, but kind of do not like. (Feels somewhat derivative and precious.) However, the quotes did get to me after a while...More

When in Boise, I always visit this Memorial; it is a wonderful tribute to Human Rights by contrast to Man's-inhumanity-to-man. The history of the Memorial is a tribute to the peoples of Boise's determination to display their own Humanity and Compassion. I would normally give...More

Anyone who cares about individual rights and freedom needs to stop by this place. It is very sober, yet it will make you think about the world that surrounds you. We especially loved the carving of famous quotes, like MLK's about what the Nazis did...More

Although some of the newer area was under construction, I still enjoyed and appreciated the self-paced tour. Enhanced by the sound and visual nuance, poignant quotes of Ms Frank's were easy to read and stood out along with time and era-appropriate words from leaders and...More

It's fairly centrally located, about a 9 minute walk from the Grove Hotel down town and also extremely close to both Julia Davis and Ann Morrison park. It's right next to the river and is very lovely.
