We visited Plas Brondanw because it had been a shooting location for Doctor Who in 1983. What we discovered was that there is so much more to this incredible place. Even in light rain, we were very pleased with the variety of flora and the...More

This is a charming garden with an interesting history. What makes it so interesting are the stunning view of the Welsh mountains. Where else could you see Snowden framed by a gate topped with two mermaids. We had a delicious lunch at the cafe and...More

This is a brilliant example of how to marry a garden with the landscape surrounding it. The topiary is immaculate as are the various sections of the garden, a real testimony to the people who look after it.

This garden designed by the man who also designed Portmerion fits the location perfectly with architectural features and views to Snowdon and Cnicht mountains. At certain times the house is also open with information about the Williams Ellis family who lived there. It is not...More

I came upon the sign at the end of the road saying Gardens Open. I didn't think for one minute I would find such a lovley and interesting place to visit. I will be going back very soon.

Rare opportunity to go in the house and see an exhibition by a local artist. Cafe uses local ingredients and interesting menu. I can recommend soup with cheese and welsh cakes.

This is a small attraction that welcomes dogs. There is a cafe for lunch that keeps busy. The gardens are formal and always being worked on. Well worth the entrance fee for the views.

It wasn't apparent where the parking was as van obscured the sign and no cars parked to indicate this was parking, (maybe place the sign a little higher or and arrow on the right). Waved on by workmen and went a fair way past the...More

Beautiful gardens divided into several 'rooms' with stunning views of Snowdonia. Walk up to the tower (and climb to the top) for even more amazing views.

Yes it is dog friendly. Dogs however are not allowed in the cafe, but the big irony is that this is where you pay to get in.
