The boat drivers took us to several reef sites with wonderful coral and fish. One of the most spectacular was near a cave. The coral near that cave were among the most varied and beautiful I have ever seen in Indonesia in 40 years of visiting. The fish were also beautiful and abundant but perhaps not quite as diverse as I'd seen else elsewhere.
Overall, well worth the trip.

The beach is actually named Tangsi in Indonesian language. The beach is located in the small village Sekaroh, Jerowaru East Lombok district is part of Tanjung Ringgit, but due to the location and road infrastructure may be inadequate so the beach is not exposed Pink is a media and tourists.
Barracks in the Big Indonesian Dictionary defined the word “dorm” or “barracks”. Somehow the beginning of history, but if looked at from the surrounding circumstances, it may be in this place is the location that was once used as the headquarters of the Japanese army. This was evidenced by the presence of artificial caves and also relic cannon Japanese invaders.
When viewed more closely, it is actually the original color is actually white sand beach, but because it is mixed with crushed pieces of pink coral, natural procession along the reef and flake fragments are then fused and formed pink, especially when exposed to sea water and exposed sun, so that its Pink color was obvious. there is a Gili's among this area..ones called Gili Petelu

First thing I would like write down here. Pink beach is not in Sekotong (South west part of West Lombok regency). It is in the south east part of East Lombok regency. Whoever created this page, please kindly correct it to avoid misleads.
Pink beach is situated in Sekaroh Village, Jerowaru, East Lombok. It's a newly discovered beach but quickly gained fame because of its beautiful pink sands. This Lombok's pink beach looks quite similar to the pink beach in Komodo National Park, Flores. Many people can't even find the differences between these two Indonesian Pink beaches. Especially when you only see their pictures. You gotta visit each of them to find out.
This pink beach is a real nice beach, not only because of its pink sands but also the water is so turquoise, so clear and the wave is very calm. If you're wanting to have a perfect beach day with family, This is a place to be! If you wanna see the sand looks really pink, come in the morning before 10 Am or in the afternoon after 4 PM.
Only 10 minutes boat ride away from Pink beach you can visit Gili Petelu, a trio small islands with a magnificent underwater garden. You do not need to dive deep, simply grab a snorkel and you can completely enjoy the amazing underwater view with lots of colourful fishes.
On the way to Pink beach, you can also visit the surfer's paradise, Ekas bay or stop by at Pantai Surga which also known as Heaven on Planet, then Tanjung Beloam with its magnificent rocky hills, Tanjung Porok, Tanjung Ringgit and many other spectacular beaches nearby. They're all located in the same district, Jerowaru.
For those wanting to have a one perfect day on many beautiful beaches, I'm happy to recommend you to visit these amazing beaches in Jerowaru, East Lombok.
Please be informed, all these beaches are considered virgin, they're totally new. So, do not expect to find a complete public facilities, No eateries, not many choices for accommodation, so be well prepared, bring your own foods & beverages.

Very, very difficult beach to access. Steep entry fee. The beach could be very nice but is covered in trash. On the day we went, it wasn’t pink at all. And the food that we ate at one of the warungs made us sick. All in all, massive waste of time going there. Would recommend pink beach in Komodo national park instead.

really Segui is the pink beach, not as posted by the locals, just to correct another reviewer, there is no electricity in this area and its a 3 hour drive from Mataram. The locals have posted a crude sign at an intersection that says 1.7klm to pink beach, its really only accessible from the parking point to the beach by motor bike,I drove down in the car, coming back up it was side-ways under high revs for most of the way up,at this beach there are 2-3 local boats, they offer to to you to a better pink beach, which is Segui..............Now lets retrace back to the intersection to crude sign that directs you right to so called pink beach....turn to the left follow road 3-4 klm,you will drive up a rise and you will see a stone fence(true, surprised me)cant remember what was written on it.Ok back up to start of rise, you will see a small track to the left, take this, you pass some homeless guys humpy, then you pass thorny scrub, knock this back or it will scratch the vehicle, this track 100mtrs from track to beach.....wow its spectacular around 3pm the sun starts to hit the sand at a lower angle.take pics from in the water, swim out 50 meters you will see what turns the sands pink, very vivid red coral, the water is so salty and clean, really pristine.A highlight of Lombok and my travels.

We happened to stumble across a tour agency opposite the papaya cafe called lombok-adventure tours ( not to be confused with the other company called adventure lombok tour ) . We went with them on a day tour to pink beach and tanjung kaliatan beach. They are the pioneers for 4WD guided tours and it seemed special because it was just myself, my husband Ida the guide and Adi the driver. After about two hours we arrived at the beach known to the locals as Tangsi beach. Due to the Land Rover we actually parked on the cliff.
After a rest Adi joined us in the glass bottom boat to a little island and had a great time snorkelling there. We had been to the gilis and I must say the corals here are magnificent better than gili Trawangan and better visibility. We could have stayed there all day but it was time for lunch back at the picnic shelter on the cliff next to the land Rover.
After that we went to another beach along ekas bay. We had another quick swim and went out another way where the 4WD had to go through water like a flood plain. It was fun ! By this time we knew why Adi said that the 4WD was his second wife hahaha. He was a good driver. We stopped for a tea break where coffee and biscuits were served by Ida. The drive back was scenic with mount rinjani following us for part of the way.
All in all we would recommend lombok-adventure tours. It was personalized ..we stopped to buy some rambutans that were in season. Everything was included ie lunch, ,boat hire, snorkelling gear and coffee biscuits. We paid AUD 50 each for the whole day and the two of them are English speaking and are informative about the places we passed by and locals in pink beach know of them. They also gave the locals the leftovers from lunch which I thought was nice of them.
I would not hesitate to recommend them on a guided tour to pink beach or kuta

The beach is very beautiful and you will never forget this beach simply.
I came with my guest from Jakarta and sail sampan to find fish and grill on the beach.. its really really nice adventure.
The road is so challenging so prepare your 4wheel drive vehicle when you go there.

Short version: stunning place, not that pink, very bad vibes, no one hurt, not going back.
Long version: My friend and I visited the beautiful Pink Beach today (not very pink, but really stunning!). We got there by car with a great driver we’ve been using for the last few days. It took about 1hr 15 from Kuta. On arrival we payed the entry fee as mentioned below (Rp50k each, driver is local, no entry fee). The guys who took the payment seem a bit shady but my friend and I both reserve judgement. This is a very remote place, tourists are still relatively uncommon so we try not be so sensitive. We drive the last few rickety metres to the beach. It really is breath taking. It is totally empty, we were the only ones there with the exception of a fisherman. Our (awesome) driver parks at one end of the beach in the shade and waits there for us. We plan to spend 1hr or so there. We head down along the beach to find some shade to drop our stuff and go for a swim. 5 mins in some guys on motor bikes (not scooters) arrive. They stop about 20 metres away from us, two on one side, one on the other side of us, it’s intimidating. We feel surrounded. I told my friend to go swim I’ll stay with our stuff. They’re really staring at both of us. Our driver (amazing!) notices the situation so drives right over, parks and comes to sit a bit close to us, closer than the bike guys. The motorbike guys disappear. I join my friend in the water thinking great, they got the message. A few mins later they come back, with another guy in tow. The new guy is intimidating, has that dead eyes thing, generally looking like a gangster (let’s be honest, there’s a look, at this stage i’m not in the mood to be PC). I can see our driver is uncomfortable. New gangster guy sits right beside our stuff, he’a gesturing towards us while talking to our driver. We decide very quickly to get out of the water, grab our stuff and tell our driver we want to leave. It’s pretty obvious they’re not just making sure we’re enjoying our delightful holiday. My friend, our local driver and I all felt like we had a narrow escape today. It’s sad to be somewhere so beautiful but feel so ill at ease you leave after 15 mins. I would not recommend going to pink beach to anyone during this quiet period of the season and would not visit unless I knew it was at least a little bit busy. I definitely would not go with only girls. Again, sad but let’s be real. And the last few km of road really sucked.

The last 7-8km of road to reach this beach is very poor (think potholes, deep slippery gravel, mud) but once you arrive you will not be disappointed! Make sure you get there before midday to see the pink color as it fades in the afternoon sun (but the earlier you can get there the better). Sunrise from this beach would be absolutely stunning! For the best snorkeling, swim to the tip of the headland on the right side and swim around to the close to the rock wall. The water is a beautiful deep blue and the sealife vibrant.

We have arranged to go to the pink beach and our tour starts from kuta at 6am.. is this the best time to see it in its pinkiest glory?

Thats a good time as you get to see the fish market also before you get on the boat to pinky beach. There's great snorkelling very close to pinky beach.
You could buy a fish earlier in the morning & bbq it for lunch at pinky beach

Unfortunately it doesn’t get any pink at all. It’s a very big exaggeration.
If you are good in photoshop editing then you could try to color it a bit with some filters to look so.
