Went off-season in October but enjoyed the wide beach. Went for a long walk on the beach. If you like that you'll enjoy this beach. Tybee island beach is very nice. Lots of bars at the main area next to the pier so I'm sure...More

Saw dolphins! Lovely beach still warm and it was empty this time of year. Great spot right outside Savannah!

The beach was clean enough but way too many people! We spent one day at this beach and the remainder of our days we went to North Beach. Much less crowded and definitely more peaceful than Tybee Beach.

Loved the beaches- very flat and gorgeous. Absolutely love that there are no chain restaurants and one small grocery. Very old school beach atmosphere.

Without a lot of expertise in the area, we've found some success in two ways: (1) when the waves break at the shoreline, there is often some shells that get thrown up; and (2) when we dig at the shoreline, as we use a 2ft... More

There are not showers at each beach entrance. We entered the beach a couple of miles from the marine center (in a more residential area) and there were no showers. I believe the closer you get to the marine center the better... More
