The Lighthouse was pretty amazing. All the artifacts and history was really quite interesting. And the lighthouse! Let's just say that I didn't realize I had a fear of heights until I started climbing those stairs up the ever-narrowing space that seemed to go on forever. The view at the top, however, was so worth it! Definitely a must visit!... More

We climbed the entire 178 steps to the top of the light house & the view was beautiful. Don't miss the museum if you like history. The evolution of the bathing suit. The story of Tybee & it's heyday.

The lighthouse and museum are a great stop if you want to learn some history about the island. We learned a lot about the island, and about the lighthouse keepers. It was very interesting to see that it was the most complete and oldest lighthouse that you can actually still visit. We loved it! You can climb up the 148... More

This Lighthouse is beautiful and worth the trip over. But everything else in this town is not worth staying for. Tybee Island has a small downtown area that is about one block long full of junk beach shops. The stores on this block pull their merchandise on to the sidewalks hiding the parking meters. There are no clear signs indicating... More

Well kept up light house. this is one of the tallest light houses in the area. You can climb up to top and walk around the railing. If you are afraid of heights stay in the building and look out the windows. The light house and light house keeper home are nice to go through. There is a lot to... More

This lighthouse on Tybee Island is easy to get to. We went early in the day and there were only a couple of other people there. Climb to the top for a nice view.

You look at it, you walk to the top. You meet people along the way, sharing exasperation at all the stairs. You enjoy the view from the top. The walk down is much easier:) Nico couple of outbuildings including the light keepers homestead. Of course you're going. About 2 hours or so is enough!

We didn't actually tour the lighthouse or museum because we didn't want to spend the money on the entry fee $9 adult, $7 senior citizens. Can see the lighthouse from parking area and grounds.

It was $9 per person and the entire trip took us a total of 20 minutes. My 75 year old mom did this and didn't even have to break a sweat. Its a short walk up the steps of about 100 or so with lots of places to stop. The top is very tiny and can only fit about 10... More

Lovely lighthouse, fun to view and get pictures!! Parking was horrible though, so be aware! A great place to eat was close by. Worth going to view the lighthouse!
