This is a gem in lovely Thomasville. We spent a couple of hours between the house, the beautiful grounds and the art gallery. Our guide Ann was so knowledgeable and spunky. The home is filled with original furnishings and collections. The story of the families that lived there was also interesting. Definitely worth the stop.

This place is for you! Interesting history but the animal/wildlife theme of the house a little too much to me. The logic to it was to make you feel you were outdoors and part of it all even when in the interior of the home. The owner's love of animals/wildlife is most apparent as is her admiration of an English... More

Pebble Hill Plantation was a wonderful surprise. The grounds are well groomed and the Plantation House is impeccably maintained. Our Docent was extremely well informed in all aspects of the home and family life here at Pebble Hill. The non-profit foundation that runs it was set up by the last family member to live at Pebble Hill. The out buildings... More

Pebble Hill has been around for a long time and it is great to see how well it has been preserved. I spent an afternoon in the fall lost in the grounds, buildings and the people telling the stories from years past. If you are in the area, like history or beautiful homes, stop in and spend some time at... More

This is an absolute five-star attraction. Nestled in the Red Hills Region of South Georgia/North Florida, Pebble Hill Plantation was a working plantation in terms of self-sufficiency, but not in the historical context that many think in regard to pre-civil war history. This plantation is steeped in the culture and tradition of a hunting estate and reveals a life-style most... More

This is a must place to visit if you are interested in history both per-civil war and post civil war going into the early 20th century. To find a property that is fully furnished with the original furnishings is a rare find. It is like the owners walked out the door and left the keys.

We enjoyed a pleasant tour with Tom through the Pebble Hill Plantation house and were amazed by the beauty the home had to offer. Tom gave us a great background and day-to-day life of the past residents, throwing in a witty comment too. The grounds were pretty even though some of the plants were in bloom yet. Still enjoyed our... More

I wasn't able to give this attraction enough time, but the time I was there was fun and interesting. I was a little disappointed because the plantation is more modern then I had hoped for. I wanted to see an old world plantation, and while Pebble hill is beautiful it is not old world and a lot of the history... More

The plantation covered over 3300 acres with multiple out buildings. Plantation had its own nurses station complete with another building to take care of injured animals. They had their own fire station, school, multiple dog kennels, pump house, a vegetable and flower garden, horse barn and 4 horses still on the property. Just a beautiful place that took us over...
