I found the information on who designed and carved the monuments interesting. But aren't we glorifying traitors to the USA by featuring huge carving of insurrectionist leaders on this Mountain? I get the feeling Southerners from the 1930-40-50-60s when this was being worked on were...More

This is an excellent exhibit of displays and written history of Stone Mountain and U.S. civil war. Ensure to watch the movie in the auditorium.

Take the time to watch the viseo about the history of the carving. I am glad I did. Visit the museum too.

The history and exhibits were interesting for adults and kids of school age. Glad we stopped in here and didn't miss it.

I began my visit to Stone Mountain Park here which was perfect. I watched the film about the making of the Confederate Monument. I was then able to walk through the displays which explained the geologic history of this region of Atlanta. Good start to...More

Miss the old map of lighted battle sites but the new display on the mountain itself was very nice. Enjoyed the movies about the mountain and about the Civil War. Hal Holbrook presented such a fair and honest account of history. We need that.
