With urban areas all around, a place to escape to quiet solitude is wonderful. This park provides that escape. Whether you are hiking or biking, or just want to sit and listen to the sounds of nature, this is a great little park to do it in. My wife and I are photographers, so we always bring our camera gear... More

Nice clean park and they have recently added a beautiful walking bridge at the lake. And the paths are paved so bring your bike! The ranger at the Nature Center was very helpful, and the ranger I met along the path was so pleasant -- he took the time to tell me about the improvements being made to the park,... More

We love the remote park here! We have visited here for almost 38 years. We took our kids here when they were you and went back there last year to have a romantic picnic and walk around the mountain.

We visited this park for the first time on Saturday with our Boy Scout Troop. The boys were doing a hike for a badge and this was certainly a great place for the 9am hike. The park is very well maintained, be sure to bring cash to insert for the parking box. The walking paths were kept up and the... More

A well kept park with excellent walking/bike paths as well as trails. Limited access to the granite outcroppings but that can be understood. My wife and I enjoy going for hikes, but it would also be well suited for picnics.

We came here with the Boy Scouts because it has an orienteering course and it's a real nice one. Once there we saw it is very well maintained. The paved bike/walking paths were kept up as were the pavilions. It's about an hour drive from my home so I don't know if it's worth the drive but if I lived... More

My Fiancee and I camped in the primitive section, near Scout Lake. The place is really beautiful, and the staff could not have been better. But, after trying to sleep ALL night long, and listening to a variety of motorcycle races, car races, jets, helicopters, and car alarms, and fire truck horns ALL DAMN NIGHT...Not going back... Like I said...BRING... More

Thank you for you candid review. We understand how frustrating the noise of the city can be, especially when you're trying to escape it. Usually it doesn't affect us too much, but unfortunately, sometimes that noise makes its way to our little slice of paradise. We'd love to have you back for a day trip the next time you're near...
