They are currently restoring this museum to make it another history museum. It will become the World War II Home Front Museum. Slated for opening in the Fall of 2018.

The beach access at the Coast Guard Station was great. It was not totally deserted but we had most of the beach to ourselves. It was very pet friendly and we were there at low tide so our small dog could play in the many...More

We were very disappointed this venue was CLOSED for Renovation - might reopen in October 2016? Small sign is posted on the door, which is mean for us handicapped folks who must get scooter out of car just to read the sign. REALLY!!!!

Again this appealed to both boys. My oldest for history and Seth was entertained. Best thing to me was air conditioning! Great exhibits.

You gain access to this museum as part of the fee that you pay to visit the lighthouse. The museum is well designed and the exhibits are informative.
