A wonderful cemetery on Myrtle Hill that was a fort during the Civil War (the War of Northern Aggression to be factual). Hundreds of Confederate and Yankee soldiers buried here as well as many lesser known war heroes. Don't expect something other than a Cemetery...More

We spend one night in Rome on our way to another location; I wish we'd had more time. We drove through the cemetery & as the title says, it is fascinating. Allow a couple of hours and stroll through this.

A very beautiful cemetery with lots of old stones and a lot of history. I spent a quiet afternoon here just taking in all of the beauty.

This cemetery is outstandingly beautiful and you can spend hours here. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing and shoes for the season and be careful not to stay past dusk or you can get trapped in if you drive your car! Is is especially pretty...More

This cemetery is an architectural gem. It winds around a hill in the city of Rome, Ga. Something to see and aporeciats. I believe I read President Woodrow Wilsons wife was buried here.
