This little hidden gem of a campground is just a few minutes down the road from me, so we camp here often. This park has a lot to offer if you are nature minded. Sitting on the banks of the Chattahoochee river, the park offers miles and miles of hiking trails...some along the river, others in the dense woods. They... More

Park facilities were clean and rangers were friendly. There were some trails to hike, no spectacular views or waterfalls (some were washed out). We geocached for maybe an hour, played on the playground several times, hiked down a trail until we saw that it was washed out. This park seems best for adults who enjoying kayaking, or want to hike... More

We spent a perfect Spring afternoon "hiking" along the river trail. I say "hiking" because it's really more like a nice path to stroll along. There were a fair number of people out but it didn't seem crowded at all. The ranger at the gift shop was also very helpful and fun. We're so glad we got our annual pass... More

We took an hour and a half Sunday drive to get here and it was worth every minute! It is a clean, well maintained State Park along side a narrow portion of the beautiful Chattahoochee River. The trail we walked was well marked & in excellent shape. Great for families. We are older and found it easy to navigate. There... More

We visited the park this weekend and enjoyed hiking the river side trail. The park is well maintained and the trails are well marked. There were numerous hikers on the trails, but it was still quiet and relaxing. There are lots of spots for picnicking.

I have been going to this state park for several years now. We always have a great time. The trails are clearly marked and well maintained. Never seen any large crowds and only occasionally passed other hikers while walking the trails. I have tent-camped at this park several times and also used the park to exit the river with my... We just went for the day and hiked on many of the trails. They were well marked and easy to walk. We took our 18 mo old and even he walked them easily. Nice facilities and playground

What a lovely location for a few days of R & R! Located on the Chattahoochee River and away from the bustle of town and traffic, one may read, hike, canoe,or visit Newman, Peachtree City, etc.
